Day 2--Blessed

I just got off the phone with Kathryn.  They had an excellent day with Day 2 of the storying camp.  Yesterday, the participants were assigned homework.  The assignment was to tell one of the stories they had learned that day with someone who was not at the camp.  Clement (pastor)

from Antabji shared that he told his story to a lost man in his village, then was able to lead the man to Christ. Clement felt certain the salvation decision was sincere and strong.  Clement also said he was committed to discipling this new brother in Christ and to getting him involved in the little church in Antabji!  

They ended the training a little early today because it was Market Day and everyone needed to get to the market.  Since they stopped early, the team went back to the church this evening for a prayer meeting that was filled with praise, worship, and prayer.  

The campers are divided into two groups. Since the camp ended early, they were unable to teach all the stories to both groups today. So, the homework today is for each participant to tell the story he/she learned to someone in the other group.  That way, they will all learn all the stories.  

Kathryn did say that the days are long. They have had some rain which helps keep the heat down.  The little cinderblock house they are in serves them well, and the Mahi woman who is cooking for them fixed pasta tonight--Kathryn said it was a big hit! 

As a specific prayer request, Kathryn mentioned going into the villages on Friday--she acknowledged that it will be very different from being surrounded by believers in the camp all day.  She is still seeking divine guidance on the exact direction and plan for evangelizing in the villages Friday.  

Sounds like Day 2 was a blessed day!
