Thank You for Coming to Our Village

Saturday the team had a full day of evangelizing in 5 different villages. From past experience, 2 or 3 villages is a very busy day--so 5 had to have been almost overwheliming. Kathryn said everyone was very exhausted at the end of the day. As they were sitting around in the evening, trying to cool off and rest, the team members were discussing the day and wondering if they had been effective. About that time, village elders from ALL 5 VILLAGES knocked on the door. The elders had walked to Aklampka to say thank you for coming to their villages. This is very significant because it means doors are open to evangelizing in these villages in the future. Praise God for open doors. Pray for the seeds that were planted in these 5 villages.

Sunday morning found the team worshipping in the church at Aklampka. Travis preached, Austin and Ellen taught Sunday School, and Jenna taught some songs in French. Jake and Kathryn led a training session after church on church leadership for the lay leaders. The report is that the worship was holy and spirit filled and the training session was well received and beneficial.

Monday the team will meet with the village elders of Aklampka, continue prayer walking and evangelizing in the nearby villages, and begin to reach out to the Filani people. Pray for continued energy, strength, and discernment to recognize the open doors and the divine appointments already made by God.
