Rejoice for New Believers

Typically when the team goes to a village for prayer walking and evangelizing, they split up into 2 groups.  This morning as they entered the village, a group of people called out to them and the team decided to stay together and spend some time with this group.  As it turns out, there were 35-45 people in this group--it was essentially an entire "subdivision".  After spending some time just hanging out, Kathryn shared the story of Daniel in the Lion's Den with the entire group.  The Mahi asked many questions about the story then began asking many questions about Christianity and theology.  This discussion was deep and obviously the Mahi were searching and were open to the Gospel.  After spending over 1-1/2 hours with these Mahi, the ENTIRE group accepted Christ as their Savior!!!!!!    Can you imagine everyone in your subdivision becoming Christians at the same time? The rejoicing in heaven must be amazing right now!

After praying to receive Christ, one man who was sort of the leader stood up and addressed his neighbors.  Because of their newfound faith, this man instructed all of them saying they would all go to the church (it is an Assembly of God church) every day for prayer and worship!  What enthusiasm, pure joy and gratitude for God's unspeakable gift.

Wednesday will see more village evangelism then after lunch a soccer game with our team versus the local youth!  They bought what they thought was a soccer ball--turns out it is more like a basketball painted to look like a soccer ball.  Should be an interesting game:)

Everyone is healthy and riding a wave of enthusiasm from how God has blessed their work.  Pray for continued harvest as they go village to village.  Pray for continued tolerance for the heat, for health, for physical and spiritual protection.  How great is our God!!!!
