Monday was a very fulfilling day for our team. The team worked in three different villages. In Save, they had the opportunity to support and encourage a local pastor, Anseme. Then they travelled to Djegbe (jeg-bay). At Djegbe, they gathered under a large tree and shared the Gospel to a large crowd. God blessed with some cloud cover, the shade from the tree, and a great number of people that listened intently to the Gospel message. After storying and evangelizing, the team reports that there were several salvation decisions--praise God. Dr. Simms enjoyed interacting with the Mahi people and especially enjoyed the children sitting on his lap and listening to the stories from God's Word.
Then the team travelled to Ouesse (way-say) and had a precious time encouraging Benoit, one of the deacons in the church. They also spent time evangelizing in the village.
Tuesday, the team will conduct soccer clinics in two villages--Lahothan and Savalou. The soccer clinics are a very powerful tool for opening doors and drawing in people. We anticipate many people--adults and children participating. In addition to refining soccer skills, the Gospel message will be shared.
All 3 team members report that they definitely feel the prayers of the home team. Keep praying that God continues to bless the work. Prayer is KEY!
