Leadership Camp Successful, Critical Prayer Need

Friday afternoon the team concluded the leadership camp. God truly was at work among the team members and the camp participants as they shared stories, evangelism techniques, and encouraged everyone to put into practice on a daily basis the things they had learned.

The team was able to get some rest Friday afternoon and evening which was much appreciated after the challenging but exciting 4 days of camp.

Saturday morning the team was divided into groups and headed out into the villages with the camp participants to model and practice storying and evangelism. The team members will be spending 2 nights in the villages. This is the first time we have had Beech Haven people sleeping in Benin homes. What an exciting time.

The next two days, Saturday & Sunday, May 21 & 22 are especially critical. The 8-person BHBC Mission Team will divide into teams and go with the Camp participants for some field practice of the evangelization and Storying skills learned in the camp. The Team members will work alongside the Camp participants for encouragement and accountability as the Camp participants tell the stories in the villages and share God's love. And, for the first time, we will have BHBC Team members spending two nights in villages--Benin style.

Of special importance for the next two days, the BHBC Team members ask you to PRAY -
· Pray for the Camp participants that they will enthusiastically and comfortably share the stories they learned in camp. That there will be fruit as the Young Adult Lay Leaders put into practice the Storying of the gospel that the BHBC Team taught and equipped them to do.
· Pray that the Camp participants will continue telling the stories and evangelizing after the BHBC Team leaves.
· Pray for our Team members that their experience in the villages will be safe and will open doors for future work in the villages.
· Pray especially for the BHBC Team's spiritual protection from satanic and voodoo forces that are so prevalent in the villages. On Sunday, the Team members will worship in the small village churches.
· Pray for a sweet time of worship with these precious believers and that these Christian nationals will truly be warriors against the darkness of Satan and Voodoo as they share the Light of Christ with their neighbors.


When I called to Benin just a few minutes ago (7:45 a.m. in Georgia), John said they were already actively sharing in the villages and to call back later--even now pray for people to not only hear the gospel, but to respond and accept God's gift of salvation and the freedom from bondage it brings.
