The Benin Mission Trip continues with A.B. flying solo.
We talked with A.B. twice on Sunday. He led a Sunday School/Worship service with ~ 75 people in attendance. The worship time was wonderful. He explained to the people how Iceland's Eyjafjallajokull Volcano delayed the rest of the team. Several of the Mahi teared up.
Please pray for A.B. and Barbara Singerman. Those two will carry on with the Leadership Conference (scheduled to begin Thursday and end Saturday night). A.B. will lead the pastors and Barbara will lead with the women. The conference will be followed by evangelsistic visits in the villages.
No worthwhile option presented itself for the rest of the team to join up with A.B. The best scenario gave the team four full days in country but allowed no time to adjust to a new timezone or recover from a hard 48 hours of travel. This route also went through Nigeria (flying Arik Air)and included a 30 hour layover in the Lagos airport on each leg of the trip. Jeff Singerman was concerned about the security of the team going through Nigeria.
When A.B. returns, options for the next trip will be explored.
A.B. will not have access to the internet while in Glazoue--the location of the conference and the base for day trips into the villages. He currently is in Cotonue. He leaves Thursday for Glazoue and returns a week later. Please continue to bathe in him prayer!
