The primary purpose of this trip is to explore opportunities to employ college student missionaries in conjunction with the Collegiate Ministries Department of the Georgia Baptist Convention. Specific goals, housing and transportation logistics for students will be investigated. This main task is easily accomplished while conducting visits with local pastors, training local church members and conducting evangelism in the villages.
To get a feel for what's planned above and to the right is a picture (click on it to enlarge) of an email to Marc Idjigberou and Calixte Akplogan. Marc lives in Cotonou and is our primary contact in Benin. Calixte is our go-to person for our time outside of Cotonou. He also serves as a translator. They are both dear brothers in Christ and have a heart for the Maxi people. Get familiar with their names. As long as we are in Benin, these men will be essential to our work!
